浜松母と子の出生コホート研究（HBC Study）を運営して，子どもの発達の行動学的表現型に焦点を当てた研究を行っている。教育では，大阪大学大学院において児童精神医学，疫学統計学，社会支援学を，浜松医科大学で精神医学を担当。
